Tutoring

The Tutoring Resource Center provides a variety of services which facilitate the success of North Central State College students. Tutoring is available to support student success with most coursework, study skills, test anxiety, Accuplacer preparation, ATI TEAS testing, keyboarding, and computer skills.

NEW - How to Self Schedule a Tutoring Session

  1. If you are not logged into your Outlook account click here, opens in a new window and log in first.
  2. Once you log into Outlook click here, opens in a new window to go to the CloudTrac page.
  3. On this page, you will see a button that says “TracCloud Login for Students”. Click on that button and then follow the instructions on this page to self-schedule a tutoring session.

Drop-IN Online Tutoring

This option is for students who prefer to study more independently, at their own pace, and on a flexible schedule/ location, but who appreciate having tutors and resources available when they need extra help. We have drop-in tutors for many courses. The tutors can help you identify your preferred learning style, develop more effective study habits and time management skills, and provide you with the academic tools for success.

How To Get Drop-IN Online Tutoring

Please take the following steps to access our Online Zoom Tutoring Center:

  1. Click here, opens in a new window to log into the Canvas NCSC ONLINE Tutoring Center.
  2. Under START HERE click the link “WELCOME TO ONLINE TUTORING SUPPORT – START HERE”
  3. In option 1 of this post, there is a link to our online zoom tutoring room. Click that link and you will join our online zoom Tutoring Center.

  • You can also call the Tutoring Center at 419-755-4812 Monday – Thursday 10 A.M. – 5 P.M. to schedule an appointment with an in-person or online tutor in any subject we tutor.

Drop-IN Online Tutoring Hours

  • Monday 10a – 5p
  • Tuesday 9a – 6p
  • Wednesday 9a – 5p
  • Thursday 9a – 5p
  • Friday 9a – 3p
  • Sat/Sun 11a – 3p

Face-to-Face Tutoring

Face-to-face tutoring is provided by both peer and professional tutors. This type of tutoring provides free individualized assistance across a number of subject areas. Peer tutors are faculty recommended, proficient in their subject matter and extensively trained in the art of learning, but still approachable, relatable and welcoming.

  • Drop-IN Tutoring – This option is for students who prefer to study more independently, at their own pace and on a flexible schedule, but who appreciate having tutors and resources available when they need extra help. We have drop-in tutors for many courses. The tutors can help you identify your preferred learning style, develop more effective study habits and time management skills, and provide you with the academic tools for success.
  • Tutoring by Appointment – This option is best for students preferring more one-on-one, comprehensive tutoring. Tutoring by appointment is available in most subjects offered at North Central State College.

Contact Online Tutoring - Online Tutoring Canvas hub

You can contact online tutoring by logging into Canvas and choosing the NCSC ONLINE Tutoring located under your course listing. From here, send a message to Online Tutor. Please provide the following in your message (for the fastest response please include all 3 pieces of info):

  1. First and Last Name
  2. Student Login Username
  3. Please Tell Us How We Can Help You
    1. ***If you are having any issues contacting online tutoring please call Tutoring Center at 419-755-4812 Monday – Thursday 10 A.M. – 5 P.M. to get help solving your issue.
  • We reply via canvas to confirm this online tutoring time within 24 hours Tuesday – Thursday. We do not check messages at all from Friday – Tuesday. If you message on those days we will reply on the following Tuesday – Thursday.
  • If you prefer to contact via phone please call the Tutoring Center at 419-755-4812 Monday – Thursday 10 A.M. – 5 P.M. and we will be happy to answer your questions.
